Flight Cancellation and Change Policies

Montauk Sky Scheduled Flights
Montauk Sky tickets are non-refundable. All sales are final.

Pre-existing Flight and Charter Flight Cancellation Refund Policy (excluding Nantucket Scheduled Flights, Stowe Scheduled Flights, Montauk Sky, BLADEone, and BLADE Airport)

CANCELLATIONS: You may cancel your Seat reservation(s) for a Pre-existing Flight by providing notice to Blade 24 hours or more prior to the scheduled departure time of the Flight. You can cancel in the Upcoming Trips section of your app or by calling Blade at 844-FLYBLADE (844-359-2523). In the event of a cancellation pursuant to these terms, Blade will credit your account with the amount charged for the cancelled seat that may be used for future travel for up to 12 months from the date such credit is issued. A cancellation made less than 24 hours of flight time will result in a forfeiture of the full ticket fare.

Scheduled and Charter Flight Changes (excluding Nantucket Scheduled Flights, Stowe Scheduled Flights, Montauk Sky, BLADEone, and BLADE Airport)

CHANGES: (excluding Nantucket Scheduled Flights, Stowe Scheduled Flights, Montauk Sky, BLADEone, and BLADE Airport)
LIGHT AIRCRAFT: You can request a switch from one flight to another by calling us at 844.359.2523. A BLADE team member will do their best to accommodate your needs. Please note that there is a $75 change fee for each flight outside of 24 hours of departure time. For flight changes within 24 - 3 hours of departure, a $75 change fee for earlier departure and $175 fee for later departure applies. Passengers cannot change flights within 3 hours of the time of departure.
HEAVY AIRCRAFT: You can request a switch from one flight to another by calling us at 844.359.2523. A BLADE team member will do their best to accommodate your needs. Please note that there is a $275 change fee for each flight outside of 24 hours of departure time. For flight changes within 24 - 3 hours of departure, a $275 change fee for earlier departure and $450 fee for later departure applies. Passengers cannot change flights within 3 hours of the time of departure.

CHANGES FROM LIGHT TO HEAVY AIRCRAFT: You can request a change by calling us at 844.359.2523. A BLADE team member will do their best to accommodate your needs. Please note that there is a $75 change fee for each flight outside of 24 hours of departure time. For flight changes within 24 - 3 hours of departure, a $75 change fee for earlier departure and $175 fee for later departure applies. Passengers cannot change flights within 3 hours of the time of departure. The difference between the costs of the flights will be refunded in Blade Credits.

CHANGES FROM HEAVY TO LIGHT AIRCRAFT: You can request a change by calling us at 844.359.2523. A BLADE team member will do their best to accommodate your needs. Please note that there is a $275 change fee for each flight outside of 24 hours of departure time. For flight changes within 24 - 3 hours of departure, a $275 change fee for earlier departure and $450 fee for later departure applies. Passengers cannot change flights within 3 hours of the time of departure. The difference between the costs of the flights will be refunded in Blade Credits.

Blade will use reasonable efforts to satisfy Flight change requests, however, Blade does not guarantee nor have any obligation to satisfy Flight changes. No refunds or credits will be issued as a result of Blade’s inability or refusal to make a Flight change. Customer is responsible for additional costs related to a flight change.

A “Light Aircraft” means a Bell 206, 407, Twin Star, 427 + Seaplane (Hamptons, Bounce)

A “Heavy Aircraft” means a Sikorsky C++/Agusta/Dauphin/H-155 Scheduled Flights (Hamptons, ACK, Boston)

If you Crowdsourced a Flight:

CANCELLATIONS: When you launch a charter for crowdsourcing, and need to cancel, you may do so only under the following conditions: 1) it is at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled flight time AND 2) no seats to third parties have been sold. In this case you may notify Blade and cancel your flight and Blade will credit your Account in the amount of the fare charged.

If you Chartered a Flight:

CANCELLATIONS: Charters of an entire aircraft must be cancelled with the following notice: (A) greater than 24 hours in advance of scheduled departure time of the Flight for helicopter and seaplane charters; (B) greater than 240 hours in advance of the first leg scheduled departure time of the Flight for all non-seaplane fixed-wing charters, such as jet and turboprop charters; and (C) 120 hours in advanced of scheduled departure time for all activations (April Festivals). You can cancel on the App or calling Blade at 844-FLYBLADE (844-359-2523). In the event of a cancellation pursuant to these terms, Blade will credit your Account with the amount charged for the cancelled Flight that may be used for future travel for up to 12 months from the date such credit is issued. A cancellation made within the required cancellation periods listed in subsections (A) and (B) above will result in a forfeiture of the full Charter price.

CHARTER LATE FEES: $300 per fifteen (15) minute interval between scheduled and actual departure. All late fees must be paid in advance or Blade may charge your credit card on file for late fees and any other costs.

BLADEone Scheduled Flights and BLADEone Faena Packages

CANCELLATIONS: BLADEone tickets are non-refundable. You will receive a credit that can be used on future BLADE flights for your fare if you cancel outside 7 days of your departure. See the Operator-Participant Agreement to learn more about cancellations.

CHANGES: Seats booked on a BLADEone flight may be switched to a different flight up to 7 days prior to your flight time. Once inside the 7 day window, flights cannot be altered unless you can provide a substitute passenger that can purchase your seat. In that instance, you will receive BLADE credit in the amount of your ticket price which may be applied towards future travel. Please note that there is a $25 administrative fee for substituted passengers. Passengers cannot be substituted within 3 hours of the time of departure.

Nantucket Scheduled Flights

CANCELLATIONS: Nantucket tickets are non-refundable. You will receive a credit that can be used on future BLADE flights for your fare if you cancel outside of 3 days of your departure. See the Operator-Participant Agreement to learn more about cancellations.

CHANGES: You can request to switch from one flight to another by calling our Flier Relations team at 844.359.2523. A BLADE team member will do their best to accommodate your needs. Please note that there is a $75 change fee for each flight outside of 72 hours of departure time. For flight changes within 72 hours of departure, a $150 change fee applies. Passengers cannot change flights within 3 hours of the time of departure. Additionally, within 72 hours, passengers cannot move their flight to a different weekend.

Montauk Sky Scheduled Flights

Montauk Sky tickets are non-refundable. All sales are final.

Stowe Scheduled Flights

CANCELLATIONS: Stowe tickets are non-refundable. You will receive a credit that can be used on future BLADE flights for your fare if you cancel outside 7 days of your departure.

CHANGES: Seats booked on a Stowe flight may be switched to a different flight up to 7 days prior to your flight time. Once inside the 7 day window, flights cannot be altered unless you can provide a substitute passenger that can purchase your seat. In that instance, you will receive BLADE credit in the amount of your ticket price which may be applied towards future travel. Please note that there is a $25 administrative fee for substituted passengers. Passengers cannot be substituted within 3 hours of the time of departure.

BLADE Airport Flights
CANCELLATIONS: Cancel for BLADE credit with no penalty until 24 hours before your departure. Prefer to receive a credit card refund? Purchase cancellation insurance at checkout. Within 24 hours, your flight is non-refundable, but changes are permitted as per the change policy above.
If your flight is cancelled due to weather, you will receive a notification at least 2 hours before your departure time and will automatically be refunded in BLADE credits.

CHANGES:
BLADEflex: Upgrade to BLADEflex for $85 and enjoy unlimited free departure time changes to within seven days of your original flight. Without BLADEflex, a $125 fee is applicable for changes in both directions.

Cancellation/Weather Insurance:
For By The Seat orders, passengers may purchase Cancellation/Weather Insurance for $75 per seat at least 48 hours before the scheduled departure.
For Charter or Crowdsource orders, passengers may purchase Cancellation/Weather Insurance for 5% of the total airfare purchase amount at least 48 hours before the scheduled departure. For Charter or Crowdsource orders which will be scheduled to depart less than 48 hours after purchase, passengers may purchase Cancellation/Weather Insurance only by calling Flier Relations at 844-FLY-BLADE.

In situations where cancellations are allowed (i.e. 24 hours for scheduled Hamptons flights), passengers who have purchased Cancellation/Weather Insurance may elect to receive a credit card refund instead of receiving Blade Credits. Flights cancelled due to weather will automatically be refunded in the form of Blade Credits.

Cancellation/Weather Insurance:
(i) is non-refundable;
(ii) includes refund of your entire fare,, taxes, and upgrades (excluding Cancellation Insurance upgrade);
(iii) is not available for flight purchased with Blade Credits or gift cards; and
(iv) is only available at the time you purchase your flight and cannot be added afterward.
